Fractional Erbium YAG Resurfacing is a micro-ablative treatment that enhances skin quality by stimulating collagen and improving fine lines, texture, and tone. Unlike fully ablative lasers, it treats precise columns of skin, allowing faster recovery while building cumulative rejuvenation over time.

Erbium YAG Skin Resurfacing – Fractional
Improve texture and fine lines with micro-ablative collagen-stimulating resurfacing.
Pre-Treatment
Avoid sun exposure, retinoids, exfoliating acids, and active skincare for one week prior to treatment. Arrive with clean skin free of makeup or products. Inform your provider of any medications, recent resurfacing treatments, or history of cold sores.
Post-Treatment
You may experience redness, warmth, and a sandpaper-like texture for a few days. Avoid heat, exercise, exfoliation, and harsh skincare products for 48 hours. Keep skin hydrated with gentle moisturizers and apply sunscreen daily. As the micro-injuries heal, expect gradual improvement in texture and tone.
What to Expect
Your skin may feel warm and appear red, with a lightly textured or “gritty” sensation as micro-channels heal. Mild swelling may also occur immediately after treatment.
Improvements in texture, fine lines, and tone develop gradually as collagen production increases. Results build with each session, especially when performed in a series.
Fractional resurfacing is often scheduled every 4–6 weeks to encourage continuous improvement. Your provider will tailor the treatment frequency to your skin’s needs.
Fractional laser resurfacing is not recommended during pregnancy or while breastfeeding. Your provider can discuss safer options for maintaining skin health during this time.
With topical numbing, most patients experience only mild heat or tingling. Any post-treatment sensitivity is temporary and resolves as the skin heals.
