Fractional Laser Resurfacing

Refine skin texture and minimize fine lines with targeted fractional laser treatment.

Pre-Treatment

Avoid direct sun exposure and self-tanner for at least two weeks before your appointment. Keep the skin clean and free of makeup, retinoids, exfoliants, or active skincare for 3–5 days prior. Inform your provider about any recent procedures, medications, or history of cold sores, scarring, or keloids.

Post-Treatment

Expect mild redness and a sandpaper-like texture for several days. Keep the skin hydrated with recommended products, avoid picking or exfoliating, and stay out of the sun until fully healed. Refrain from intense workouts, heat exposure, and active skincare for several days, and apply SPF daily once the skin allows.

What to Expect

  • You can expect redness, mild swelling, and a rough or “sandpaper-like” feel for a few days. Light flaking or peeling is normal as the skin renews. Most clients resume normal activities within 2–5 days depending on the intensity of the treatment.

  • Skin becomes smoother, brighter, and more even in tone. You’ll notice improvements in fine lines, texture, pores, and acne scars. Results continue to build over several weeks as collagen increases.

  • Fractional treatments are typically done in a sessions. Most clients return every 4–6 weeks, depending on their skin goals and provider recommendations.

  • Laser resurfacing of any kind is not recommended during pregnancy or breastfeeding.

  • You may feel warmth, tingling, or a prickling sensation, but a topical numbing cream is usually applied to keep you comfortable. Most clients describe it as tolerable.
