Fully Ablative Laser Resurfacing

Reveal dramatically smoother, tighter, and more youthful skin with full-field ablative laser resurfacing.

Pre-Treatment

Avoid sun exposure, tanning, and harsh skincare for at least two weeks before treatment. Arrive with clean skin free of lotions, makeup, creams, or fragrance. Notify your provider of any medications, immune conditions, history of cold sores, scarring, or sensitivity to lasers, as pretreatment medications may be recommended.

Post-Treatment

Expect significant redness, warmth, and peeling as the top layer of skin renews. Keep the treated area clean, continuously moisturized, and protected with the aftercare products provided. Avoid sun exposure, sweating, hot environments, and any skincare not cleared by your provider. Do not pick at peeling skin, and use strict sun protection once healing allows.

What to Expect

  • You should expect significant redness, warmth, and peeling as the top layer of skin is removed and regenerates. The treated area will feel similar to a sunburn for several days. Healing typically takes 7–14 days depending on depth, followed by gradual fading of redness over the next several weeks.

  • Fully ablative resurfacing can dramatically improve deeper wrinkles, etched lines, severe sun damage, and pronounced texture concerns. Skin looks smoother, tighter, and more rejuvenated with long-lasting collagen remodeling.

  • 2-3 sessions are recommended, it is typically spaced several months apart, once the skin is fully healed.

  • Fully ablative laser resurfacing is not safe during pregnancy or breastfeeding.

  • You’ll feel heat during the treatment, but numbing is used to keep discomfort minimal. Most clients find the sensation tolerable with proper preparation and aftercare.
